Focus on Community Employment Success (FoCES)

A program that assesses and provides the skills necessary for individuals to become competitively employed.

Focus on Community Employment Success (FoCES) consists of paid work experiences combined with classroom instruction on a variety of topics to help provide the necessary tools for the individuals to become successful in integrated competitive community employment.


Program Goals
  • Educate individuals about the world of work
  • Teach and practice appropriate interpersonal skills, job-search strategies, resume and cover letter writing, job-application completion and job interviews
  • Lead individuals in the development of specific job skills through a variety of paid transitional work experiences in the community
  • Help individuals gain competitive community employment of their choice

Who the Program Serves

Individuals with developmental disABILITIES who may have challenges in obtaining or maintaining a job.

Eligibility Requirements

Ages: 15 and older
We accept referrals from the local Mental Health/Intellectual Disability Office, the Pennsylvania Office of Vocational Rehabilitation and/or an individualized educational plan (IEP) developed through any of our local school districts.

Program Dates and Times

Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
