Autism Hub & Early Learning

The Autism Hub/Early Intervention Coordinator, under the direction of the President, serves as a link between Hope Enterprises, the Autism Collaborative Centers of Excellence (ACCE), and the community (broadly defined as anyone with an interest in autism-related services) to facility communication and the development of necessary and appropriate services. Works with individuals with autism and other intellectual disabilities and their families or supports to assist with communication, coordination of care, advocacy, etc. Provides communication and education in the community to build support and awareness of autism-related services. Supervises the early intervention services provided by Hope Enterprises.

SPECIFIC DUTIES (include but are not limited to):

AUTISM HUB

Work with ACCE to develop short- and long-term goals to sustain/grow the program with schools, businesses, and other organizations to provide services to individuals with autism, and to maintain contact with participating partners to proactively address issues and respond to concerns.

Work toward and report on measurable objectives as defined by Hope and ACCE.

Ensure compliance, at the hub level, with all state/federal/local regulations regarding the operation of the program.

Develop and oversee related budget line items related to the program.

Oversee the development and maintenance of sustainable funding to continue and/or grow the program.

Work with Hope and ACCE staff to develop and execute marketing/communications plans to inform the community of the programs, including but not limited to local civic organizations, business groups, schools, and other educational or community entities to ensure referrals to the program and to explore opportunities for financial support.

Serve as coordinator of information and services needs for clients that contact the hub and/or network.

Plan and implement ongoing schedules that meet the needs of all program participants and maximizes billing/funding opportunities, including all scheduled volunteer activities, coordination of services for participants, and scheduling of staff.

Intervene in incidents as the central communications individual to disseminate corrective action information among participants and other stakeholders.

Attend meetings and appointments as requested and appropriate with program participants.

Represent Hope and ACCE at special events or functions with partner organizations.

Participate with ACCE network to operate the hub locally in accordance within stated regulations and operating guidelines.

EARLY LEARNING

Coordination and supervision of early learning department/staff.

Oversight of early learning program operations and finances.

Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, standards, etc.


QUALIFICATIONS:    Bachelor’s Degree or higher in human services, social work, education, psychology, public health, or other relevant field from an accredited college or university, and two or more year’s work experience in a related role. Experience with social service, providers, and community organizations preferred.
