Starburst Steamers, our mobile car wash, utilizes steam to clean vehicles of all sizes, eliminating the dirt and grime many automatic car washes fail to remove.

The Hope Mobile Car Wash is a revenue-generating program of Hope Enterprises. We contract with businesses and organizations to schedule car washing days at facilities using our mobile car wash and our team of "Starburst Steamers," the name we've given to the employees that run the mobile car wash.

This service can either be paid for by each individual employee or can be sponsored by employers as an incentive or perk for workers. Our program has unlimited potential to service a variety of industries, including car dealerships, schools, country clubs, and more. Our mobile car wash is a self-contained unit we can transport to nearly any location.

It utilizes steam to clean vehicles of all sizes, eliminating the dirt and grime many automatic car washes fail to remove. After the steam wand passes over the vehicle, our "Starburst Steamers" wipe all the remaining spots with microfiber cloths.

Our car wash is an environmentally friendly method that utilizes no harmful chemicals. Weighing in at just under 300 pounds, it can store approximately six gallons of water on board and requires very little power. Businesses that contract with the car wash do not have to provide a source of water or power.

Compact two- or four-door vehicles take about 20 minutes to wash, while mini vans, larger vehicles or 15-passenger vans take anywhere from 30 to 40 minutes. Our mobile car wash is weather-permitting and will operate at temperatures above 50ºF. Our car washing services are currently limited to Lycoming County, but we plan to expand to all counties Hope serves as additional units are added.

An Affirmative Industry Program

Hope's Mobile Car Wash can currently provide paid employment for up to six individuals with disABILITIES. A supervisor is also assigned to the car wash team to ensure quality and support individuals' needs. Special skill development classes are given internally before individuals can operate the mobile car wash unit.
