Teens in Transition - OLD

This program focuses on activities of daily living and building the life skills needed to be independent.


Teens in Transition (TNT) is a program designed for individuals ages 12 years and older who have intellectual disABILITIES. The program focuses on activities of daily living and building the life skills needed to be independent and is geared toward teaching beginner life skills and promoting friendships with peers.

Two certified occupational therapy assistants facilitate and plan each session to address skills such as preparing basic snacks and meals, performing house chores, participating community outings and making crafts.

A biweekly social gathering is run through the help of the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program at the Pennsylvania College of Technology. Please contact Jeanne Kerschner [email protected] for more information.

Individuals with intellectual disABILITIES.

Eligibility Requirements

Ages: 12 years and older
Eligibility is determined by a licensed occupational therapist or school referral.

Program Dates and Times

Six weeks during the summer (meets two times per week)
Days vary by year – either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday.
