Community Participation Support - Supervisor

The Supervisor-Community Participation Support (CPS) under the supervision of the Community Participation Support (CPS) Coordinator is responsible for the operation of the Community Participation Support Program in their service area.  The Supervisor-CPS is responsible for the direct supervision of Direct Support Professional-Day Program and Lead Direct Support Professional-Day Program, depending upon service location.

Exercise common sense and good judgment in all decision making and contact supervisory staff for direction when necessary and required.
Have full knowledge of Integration, Everyday Lives, Hope Enterprises, Inc. Policy and Procedures and current ODP practices and philosophies.
Identify needs and weaknesses of service delivery.Participate in the development of policies and procedures to improve operation of service delivery.
Promote a trusting relationship and remain professional when working with individuals/families.
Facilitate and maintain relationships between the Administrative Entity, Supports Coordination Organization, day programs, and other support services.
Avoid allowing personal beliefs and values to influence dealings with individuals receiving services.

Supervision
Supervise and provide leadership to Direct Support Professional-Day Program and Lead Direct Support Professional-Day Program, depending upon service location.
Participate in orientation and ongoing training for Lead DSP-Day and DSP-Day.
Ensure compliance with Everyday Lives, Hope Enterprises, Inc. Policy and Procedures, and current ODP practices and philosophies.
Assist with interviewing and hiring personnel.
Complete and discuss performance evaluations.
Address performance issues and follow up under the direction of the supervisor and ensure consistent application of disciplinary actions in conjunction with agency policies.
Approve work schedules, time records, expense vouchers, and other required forms.
Coordinate temporary work assignments to alleviate staff shortages and assure consistency in providing services.
Actively participate in the development of caseloads.
Ensure required operational paperwork is reviewed, approved, and submitted in a timely manner.
Ensure attendance at required meetings and trainings.
Notify and consult with supervisor when additional support is needed.

Programmatic
Provide for opportunities and support for community inclusion and building interest in and developing skills and potential for competitive integrated employment.
Participate in Individual Support Plan development and team meetings.Assist with developing strategies for helping individuals to achieve their outcomes.Be fully familiar with each individual’s current plan.Suggest revisions to the Individual Support Plan when appropriate or indicated.
Ensure individuals’ services are administered and maintained in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and relevant laws.Monitor individuals’ records for compliance and proper documentation.
Have full knowledge of 2380 Regulations.Complete the responsibilities of the Program Specialist in compliance with Adult Training Facility Regulations 2380.33(b) (1-19).Complete all components of the Individual Support Plan as per regulations and Hope policy.
Maintain Program Specialist qualifications as defined by 2380 regulations.
Ensure staff is trained on the Individual’s Support Plan, ensure implementation and documentation requirements.
Facilitate and maintain relationships between the individuals, families, and other support services.

Responsibilities
Ensure maximum provision of services by monitoring service delivery and unit utilization.
Facilitate and maintain relationships between the individuals, families, and other support services.
Monitor program budgets, ensure expenditures are consistent with budget limits, and make recommendations for budget changes as necessary.Review purchases and requisitions as appropriate.
Ensure the quality and provision of services by participating in ongoing program audits and ensure licensing and accreditation.
Work with appropriate staff to ensure facilities and equipment are managed and maintained in a safe, operable condition and meet applicable codes and regulations.
Ensure that appropriate program equipment and supplies are purchased within budgetary guidelines.
Oversee crisis intervention in emergency situations.Notify the CPS Coordinator of the emergency situation.

Notification of Incidents
Have complete knowledge and comply with Incident Management.
Participate and comply in Incident Management meetings.

Other Duties
Make presentations to other agencies, organizations, and interested parties.
Participate in committees as assigned.
Attend and participate in required training sessions, seminars, and/or conferences.
Participate in the completion of Provider Qualifications.
Perform other duties as may be required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree or above from an accredited college or university and 1 year work experience working directly with persons with disabilities or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years work experience working directly with persons with disabilities or an associate’s degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and 4 years work experience working directly with persons with disabilities.
