CSP Supervisor
Community Supports Program
The Community Supports Supervisor, under the supervision of the Residential Coordinator is responsible for the supervision of services to individuals living in the community. The Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of Residential Managers, Residential Staff, and overseeing of contracted services.
General Work Principles
Be a primary advocate for individuals served by ensuring health, safety, and welfare at all times.
Honor and respect individuals and their personal rights in all aspects of the individual’s lives. Comply with Confidentiality Policy and all applicable HIPAA Regulations.
Address, treat, and interact with individuals in a dignified manner at all times.
Act as an appropriate role model and present an acceptable appearance and image when representing the agency.
Exercise common sense and good judgment in all decision making and contact supervisory staff for direction when necessary and required.
Have full knowledge of Normalization Principles, Everyday Lives, Hope Enterprises, Inc. Policy and Procedures and current ODP practices and philosophies.
Identify needs and weaknesses of service delivery. Participate in the development of policies and procedures to improve operation of service delivery.
Promote a trusting relationship and remain professional when working with individuals/families.
Facilitate and maintain relationships between the Administrative Entity, Supports Coordination Organization, day programs, and other support services.
Avoid allowing personal beliefs and values to influence dealings with individuals receiving services.
II. Supervision
Direct supervision and provide leadership to Habilitation Managers and Habilitation Staff.
Participate in orientation and ongoing training for Habilitation Managers and Habilitation Staff.
Ensure compliance with Normalization Principles, Everyday Lives, Hope Enterprises, Inc. Policy and Procedures, and current ODP practices and philosophies.
Complete and discuss performance evaluations for Habilitation Managers and Habilitation Staff as required.
Address performance issues and follow up under the direction of the supervisor and ensure consistent application of disciplinary actions in conjunction with agency policies.
Review, approve and submit time records, expense vouchers, and other required personnel forms.
Ensure required operational paperwork is reviewed, approved, and submitted in a timely manner.
Develop work schedules for staff. Coordinate temporary work assignments to alleviate staff shortages and assure consistency in providing services.
Conduct staff meetings as necessary.
Ensure attendance at required meetings and trainings.
Notify and consult with supervisor when additional support is needed.
III. Programmatic
A. Participate in the referral process with new individuals.
B. Ensure staff representation at ISP/team meetings.
C. Be familiar with each Individual’s Support Plan. Ensure staff is trained on the Individual Support Plan to achieve individual’s outcomes and implementation of services.
D. Train staff on documentation requirements and ensure completion.
E. Be familiar with each individual’s budgeted authorized units and monitor units on a routine basis.
F. Complete and submit monthly progress notes within required timelines.
G. Routine communication with staff on individuals’ status.
H. Ensure information is accurate and up-to-date in each individual’s file.
IV. Overall Operations
A. Be familiar with program budgets, ensure expenditures are consistent with budget limits, and make recommendations for budget changes as necessary.
B. Routinely update staff on individuals’ unit utilization.
C. Assist the Administrative Coordinator with agency vehicles as required.
V. Incident Management
Have full knowledge of and comply with Incident Management.
Submit reportable incidents to HCSIS within required timelines.
Participate and comply with Risk Management meetings.
Serve as a Certified Investigator as assigned.
VI. Other Duties
Provide on-call coverage.
Perform other duties as may be required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: An Associate’s Degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and 2 years work experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities or a high school diploma or general education development certificate and 4 years work experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities. One year supervisory experience preferred.
