Job Summary
Hope Enterprises, Inc. is currently seeking a highly energetic professional with a track record of building donor relationships and closing gifts.  This position will ensure that the goals of Hope’s development strategies are designed in accordance with strategic goals, and that an action plan is executed to meet those goals.  Qualified applicants must possess excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to relate effectively with the public, donors, volunteers, and board members, and requires analytical and strategic thinking.  Exceptional public speaking, customer service, and written organizational skills are necessary, as well as great attention to detail.

Job Overview


Planning Activities
Develop and execute the annual fundraising plan with the President, Executive Management Team and Strategic Planning Committees.
Research various potential donor sources, both new sources and monitoring of existing sources.
Secure financial support from individuals, foundations, businesses or other potential donor sources.
Develop a communication strategy in relation to fundraising efforts and events.
Develop and track proposals for all fundraising efforts.
Oversight and direct involvement in grant writing projects.
Participate in various internal strategic planning (and other relevant) committees

Donor Relations
Possess a thorough knowledge of Hope’s programs and services, and the ability to articulate that information to the public.
Collaborate with internal programs in support of their community awareness efforts.
Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with donors and potential donors.
Establish and maintain ongoing partnerships with local organizations, both private and non-profit, business leaders, as well as other community establishments, for the purpose of maintaining ongoing community relations and participating in community fundraising events.
Follow-up on recommendations regarding funding sources and potential donors.
Represent Hope Enterprises at community and business events.
Explore opportunities for participation with local and statewide associations related to fundraising, planned giving, and donor development.
Prepare and present requests to funding streams.
Build and launch a planned giving program.
Research and propose other potential funding opportunities.
Direct involvement in agency special events, including annual fundraising events.
Establish ongoing speaking engagements with local organizations and associations.
Develop and maintain a communication plan for Hope through the use of various media outlets, including, but not limited to internal communications, social media, external news reporting outlets, etc.
Provide tours of Hope’s facilities in cooperation with relevant program directors or supervisors.
Collaborate with Marketing Agency to achieve fundraising objectives and donor awareness.
Maintain data management suite.
Oversee timely and accurate reporting to donors, including follow-up planning for future and ongoing fundraising efforts.
Research or develop additional fundraising activities or prospects.
Cultivate stewardship of Hope’s mission with donors.
Meet with donors on a regular basis to cultivate a positive relationship and to provide updates on the progress of projects due to funding, as well as other planned initiatives. 


Qualifications



Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business Administration, Communications, Public Administration, or other relevant field from an accredited college or university, and two year’s work experience in a development role or other related experience; or a Bachelor’s Degree with extensive experience of at least five years in a development role; or an Associate’s Degree in a relevant field with extensive experience of at least seven years in a development/fundraising role.

Salary Range - $50 000 - $60 000
