Early Intervention Services
Hope Early Intervention Program is committed to our youngest children.
Two teachers in Lycoming County and one in Northumberland County visit children from birth through age 3 who have developmental delays or disABILITIES and who are eligible for Early Intervention services. The educators visit children at their homes, and work with children and their families in a range of developmental areas.
Teacher visits are most often at the home, but may also occur at a daycare or a community location where the child and family spend time. A few times during the year, the home visitors will offer a play group that is open to all of the children with whom an educator works, as well as their families. This playgroup provides an opportunity for children and families to socialize with each other.
In addition, Hope provides in-home physical and occupational therapy Early Intervention services in Lycoming County and the CMSU region.
In-home Early Intervention services are provided through referral from county agencies. To obtain a referral in Lycoming County, contact the Lycoming/Clinton MH/ID Joinder at 570-326-7895. For a referral in Northumberland County, call 570-495-2040.
