Hope Children's Campus Completes Playground Renovation Project

Williamsport, Pa. — Hope's Children's Campus, a child development nonprofit located in downtown Williamsport, completed a playground renovation project in June 2024.

With funding from nonprofits and the community, the organization replaced the rubber matting on the playground outside Hope's building.

Hope’s Children's Campus is home to several key community programs, including leased spaces for STEP, Inc. Head Start and UPMC's Pediatric Rehabilitation Clinic. Additionally, the campus houses Hope’s Bi-County WIC (Women, Infants, and Children's) Program and Autism Resource Center.

"We were thrilled to undertake this playground renovation project to showcase The Hope Foundation’s efforts," said Mackenzie Howe, director of development. "This initiative highlighted our partners at the Children’s Campus, while educating the community on our mission to support those with diverse abilities." 

The playground renovation project received funding of $12,250 from The Plankenhorn Foundation, covering 50% of the total project cost. The Hope Foundation also successfully raised over $17,000 through the Raise the Region campaign, demonstrating widespread community support for this important endeavor.

"This collaboration exemplified the power of partnerships in ensuring the well-being of Hope and our community." 

The renovated playground now benefits over 100 children and families.
