James Dinsmore

Williamsport, Pa. — The Hope Foundation, which drives funding in support of people with diverse abilities, has named James Dinsmore as chair of its board of directors.

As board chair, Dinsmore will lead the Foundation’s volunteer Board of Directors in advancing its mission to enhance lives through philanthropy, community partnerships, and strategic support of Hope Enterprises, Dinsmore has been an active member of The Hope Foundation Board, Golf Committee, and has demonstrated a strong commitment to expanding opportunities for individuals with diverse abilities throughout central Pa.

"We are excited to welcome Jim into this leadership role," said Mackenzie Howe, executive director of The Hope Foundation. "His continued dedication to our mission, leadership, and commitment to our community make him exceptionally well-suited to guide the Foundation into a strong future."

The Foundation also extends its sincere gratitude to outgoing board chair Kristie Healy for her outstanding service and leadership. During her period, Healy played an instrumental role in strengthening the Foundation’s governance, fundraising efforts, and strategic direction.

"Kristie’s leadership has positioned The Hope Foundation for a strong and sustainable future," said Howe. "She has never hesitated to roll up her sleeves, dive into the details, and dedicate the time and effort necessary to move our mission forward. We are deeply grateful for her service and look forward to her continued involvement with The Hope Foundation."

Dinsmore succeeds Healy following a successful term that saw continued growth in fundraising, community engagement, and support for innovative programs that enhance the lives of those served by Hope.

As board chair, Dinsmore will carry this momentum forward, working alongside fellow board members, donors, volunteers, and community partners to build on the Foundation’s success and create even greater opportunities for individuals with diverse abilities throughout Central Pa.

Dinsmore is a wealth manager at Kintra Wealth Solutions in Williamsport, where he has brought over 35 years of success in the industry. For more than 32 years, he has served as chairman of Hope's Golf Invitational, providing leadership that has helped the event consistently raise over $100,000 each year and earn recognition as one of only 85 national tournaments in the Applied Underwriters Golf Invitational series. He has served the Hope Enterprises Foundation as a member of the Executive Finance Committee and Strategic Partnership Committee, and currently resides in Cogan Station with his wife, Susan. Jim enjoys spending time with his two adult sons, Ian and Joseph.
