DANVILLE, Pa. – Hope Enterprises, a non-profit provider of services for people with intellectual disabilities in Lycoming, Clinton, Northumberland, Columbia, Montour, Snyder and Union counties, invites area residents to Dance the Night Away on Thursday, October 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Pine Barn Inn to benefit The Hope Foundation.

Modeled after ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" and Hope's original dance event held in Williamsport in May, the Danville version of the fundraiser will pair community leaders from Columbia, Montour, Union and Snyder counties with Hope individuals in a fun and friendly dance competition. Now in its second year, the Lycoming County event has raised a total of $11,000.

"Dance the Night Away with Hope is a fun and entertaining evening that engages members of the community along with Hope employees, friends and individuals for a very worthy cause," said Robert Labatch, president of Hope Enterprises. "Funds raised will help us continue providing essential services and training for individuals with intellectual disabilities in our region – training such as independent living and social skills for teens and life skills and employment readiness for adults."

Ticket prices for Dance the Night Away Danville begin at $25 and can be purchased online at www.hopeability.org/dance or at Hope's office at 543 Church Street, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Sponsorship opportunities are available and range from $150 to $500. Those interested in sponsoring the event should contact Mackenzie Howe, Hope's director of development, at [email protected] for more information.
